Welcome to (“Site” or “Website”), a voting and information site for Girls’ Choice Awards™ (collectively, “Girls’ Choice” or “the Show”).

This Privacy Policy is designed to explain the Company’s online information-gathering practices regarding this Website. The Privacy Policy describes how this Website collects, uses, and shares personally identifiable information and other non-personally identifiable information obtained from and about individuals who visit this Site. The Internet presents an opportunity for us to reach our audience with product, entertainment, and company information, and activities such as, but not limited to, voting in awards events, sweepstakes, contests, offers, newsletters, and other promotions. We are committed to providing and maintaining that opportunity in a safe and secure environment for our visitors.
Agreement to This Privacy Policy and Privacy Policy Modifications: By using this Website you (and your parent/legal guardian if you are a minor in your jurisdiction of residence) are agreeing to this Privacy Policy. From time to time, and at any time, this Privacy Policy may be revised or changed. Collection of Your Personal Identifiable Information (“PII”) and Other Personal Information: This Website is intended to provide a unique, informational, and entertaining experience for users without requiring them to submit any more PII than is necessary to participate in particular activities that may be offered, or to use the Site effectively. We do not require users to register or submit PII in order to visit the Website. Some activities on the site may be performed without providing PII. When we ask for PII to participate in an activity we will not require anyone to disclose more PII than we believe is reasonably necessary to participate in the activity. At times, users may be asked to provide non-PII such as first name, age, gender, zip code, city, and/or state of residence.


For Children Under the Age of 13: We will not knowingly accept or collect information from children under the age of 13.


When PII May Be Requested: Registration and/or input of PII may be required to participate in activities such as, but not limited to, participation in voting in awards events, sweepstakes, contests, specific promotional activities and offers, and some surveys. If PII is requested for participation in an activity you cannot participate without disclosing the requested PII.


Use of PII: We may use PII for the purposes of Girls’ Choice Awards activities, such as but not limited to, in voting in awards events, sweepstakes, contests, or promotional activity (i) to register you for those activities, to verify that you comply with the published Rules or Terms and Conditions, and to notify you if you are a winner in a sweepstakes or contest, to keep track of your compliance with requirements when voting in award events, or provide you with information regarding promotion activity, (ii) for prize delivery, (iii) for notification of important changes to Website functions, and (iv) to ensure that we comply with applicable laws. The PII you disclose for these and similar activities may be shared with third parties such as those who may administer the activity for us and shipping companies that may deliver a prize. We will inform you at the time we are collecting the PII that such collection is a requirement for participation.
We may also use your PII for the following purposes: (v) to help personalize and enhance our Site and your Website experience; (vi) to send you personalized information about our Site via email, and (vii) to contact you for feedback regarding us or our advertisers or business partners, if any.
Should you give us permission by affirmatively opting-in, we may use your email address and other PII contact information provided to us through the Site (i) to send you promotional materials from us for example but not limited to notification of special offers and newsletters, and, (ii) to have promotional materials sent directly to you from and by third parties. Please also note that even if you opt out of receiving promotional emails from us or third parties, we may still use your PII to communicate with you for other purposes, such as notifying you if you are a winner in a sweepstakes or contest or if you are participating in other activities where we believe communication is necessary.


Your PII may be shared with other companies and websites we own or operate for our behalf. Your PII may also be shared with those persons or entities that administer our Website. Your PII will only be shared with administrators, business partners, or advertisers for a particular purpose and they will not be permitted to use it for any unauthorized purpose.


Use of Non-PII: From time to time, we may also ask you to provide us with non-PII which is data that does not allow us to identify you, such as first name, zip code, age, gender, product and promotional preferences, and household characteristics like presence of children or income bracket. Your non-PII may be aggregated and used for our internal purposes or for creating reports for third-party advertisers and partners, or otherwise shared with third parties for any lawful purpose, without your permission. No third party will know who you are as a result of the use of your non-PII.


Opting Out-Continued PII Use: If you opt out of the use of your PII, we may still use your PII for internal purposes, or as may be necessary to administer the Site, for example, sharing that data with those persons or entities that administer the Website. Your PII may further still be used to comply with applicable law, for example, but not limited, to comply with valid legal process such as a search warrant, subpoena, or court order, and to report sweepstakes and contest winnings as may be required by law. And it may be used in special cases when we have reason to believe that disclosing this information is necessary to identify or contact you, or bring legal action against you if, for example, we believe that you may be causing injury to, or interference with, our Site or company’s rights or property, or other users of the Site, whether your actions are intentional or unintentional. Safety and Security: We take steps to help ensure that all information provided by you, whether PII or non-PII, is treated securely.
